The Greatest Showman

“Imagine a place where people can see things they’ve never seen before.” – P. T. Barnum

The Greatest Showman (2017)

The Greatest Showman–directed by Michael Gracey–is a recent original movie since it was released in the near end of 2017. The movie is bringing the 19th century touch in the United States and punctuated with 11 original songs that are composed by Justin Paul and Benj Pasek–who also wrote songs for La La Land (2016). In sum, the movie tells about ‘A Million Dreams’ of P. T. Barnum (Hugh Jackman) that some of them are bizarre for some people, but deep in his heart he wants to make people around him happy. And to make those happen, he must pursue as hard as walking on the tightrope, with her supportive wife Charity Barnum (Michelle Williams) who always stays by his side. Though I must say that this work is not an art-worthy at all, to be honest I am blown away with their characters’ appreciation, fiery energies and entertainments, and some sharp words.

P. T. Barnum (Hugh Jackman)

From the beginning of the movie, the audiences are made blown away with Barnum’s appearance in red impresario coat and top hat, while opening his circus performance with his loyal performers and CGI animals and performing ‘The Greatest Show’ with a short yet festive choreography. As a result, his performance draws a big applauses from circus audiences, and of course Barnum is happy with that. But, who would ever expect that this kind of situation is just a mere illusion? Such an irony, but an interesting and great effort to begin the plot.

As the plot is going along, audiences are made blown away again with the deathly conversation, duet, and choreography by Barnum and Phillip Carlyle (Zac Efron) who perform ‘The Other Side’ in a bar, with a bartender who is ready to serve shots of alcohol for them. But, it would be better if this scene is done with just one take–since it is my favourite choreography of all. Next, is a grand performance from a graceful nightingale in Europe Jenny Lind (Rebecca Ferguson) who do a lip sync of ‘Never Enough’ with a beautiful voice from one of The Top 20 of The Voice – Season 3 contestants Loren Allred. In the end, as expected, she gains a big standing applauses from audiences who attend her concert there.

Audiences are made more blown–even carried away–by a “propaganda” which is performed by the circus performers like Lettie Lutz or known as The Bearded Lady (Keala Settle) and Charles Stratton or known as General Tom Thumb (Sam Humphrey) in ‘This Is Me’. Deep meaningful and sharp words, also the fiery energies from the performers here. Besides being sang by them, the second version of ‘This Is Me’ is also sung by Kesha and already released in the last December 22, 2017. Don’t forget the romantic chemistry of Phillip and his girlfriend Anne Wheeler (Zendaya), an acrobat and a trapeze artist in Barnum’s circus, with a sensational acrobat in trapezes ‘Rewrite the Stars’. And, a little solo waltz from Charity in simple but sharp words of ‘Tightrope’.

“You are putting folks of all kinds on the stage with you, presenting them as equals.” – James Gordon Bennet (to Barnum)

People know Hugh Jackman in his long-running role as Wolverine in X-Men movie series. But, for them–including me–his singing skill is not a doubt. Starting from his participation in a theatre course in his final year of university in Australia. Then, participated in a Broadway musical theatre The Boy from Oz (2003) as Peter Allen, which made him won Tony Award in Best Actor in a Musical nomination. Also, his role as Jean Valjean in Les Misérables (2012) which made him won Golden Globe Award in Best Actor – Motion Picture Musical or Comedy nomination.

On the other side, thanks to his role as Troy Bolton in High School Musical movie series, people have no doubt with Zac Efron’s skills in singing and dancing which is–unexpectedly–still attached in him. After completing those movie series that were loved by teenage girls back then, Zac also played in some of the non-musical movies like 17 Again (2009) and The Lorax (2012). His comeback in the musical movie–which is The Greatest Showman–made him felt like “home”, also treated Zac’s fans who missed his singing and dancing skills.

Overall, the movie really gave me a lot of affections. Every scenes, songs, choreographies, positive energies from the casts, also sharp and emotional messages for the audiences. I like when the movie positions itself as a story celebrating diversity, and the importance of embracing all kinds. It was indeed the greatest show I had never seen before.

Grand Nature from the East

Cold air penetrates into the body,

while waiting for The Dawn emerges from the East.

And after He arises,

smiles begin to show up

Watching Him embraces us with warmth from behind the grand wall

as we float over the sea of thick clouds.

That was how my family felt after visited Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park, located in East Java Province, for the first time just for this magnificent and popular scenery from the top of Mount Bromo. Have you already visited this place? Last Christmas holiday, we got a chance to visit Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park and here, I will tell and provide you a complete guidance about activities that you can do in this national park.

A Tense, yet Unforgettable Roadway

A trip to Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park from where we stayed, Huni Raya Hotel, Pasuruan Regency, East Java Province, takes about an hour with a ride. You are suggested to depart from where you are staying around dawn (00.00-03.00 local time), so that you can get the best seat to see the beautiful sunrise at the peak that day. And to prevent some wasted energy, you are suggested to stay in the nearest hotel/villa to the path of the peak. There will be another activities you must not miss after seeing the sunrise.

A hardtop jeep

Furthermore, you should know that you are prohibited to bring your own ride and must ride a special ride, hardtop jeep, into this national park. Why? Because the field is so perilous, even when the day is still dark. Slopes, sharp turns, thick fogs, and others. But, you do not have to worry because the drivers there are well-experienced. In addition, you will experience some bouncing moments in this ride while on the way to destination.

Sunrise Sightseeing

After arriving at the peak, you must walk a little into the sightseeing spot. There are two spots that you can choose, Bukit Cinta and Bukit Kingkong. Bukit Cinta itself is located at 2,770 metres above sea level, also the main sightseeing spot in Bromo Peak. Why? In this spot, aside from seeing the sunrise, you can also see the magnificent scenery of Mount Bromo, Mount Batok, and Mount Semeru, and a wide sand carpet that is still covered by the sea of thick fog. On the other side, Bukit Kingkong is an alternative sightseeing spot when the main spot is crowded–on any given days. However, this spot is lower than the main spot, which is located at 2,600 metres above sea level, and the path toward this spot is slightly uphill.

According to locals, seeing sunrise at Bromo Peak is a rare chance. If the weather is not too cloudy, you can see the sun is rising beautifully―that makes the tourists feel astonished―and capture those moments in photos/videos. Believe me, tourists will be happy by experiencing this.

For your information when you are at the peak, make sure that you have already worn your cold-weather clothes (such as jacket, trainings, socks, hiking shoes, cap, and mask). At the peak, the temperature can reach around 5℃ at dawn.

Crater Sightseeing

Bromo Crater

After having an enjoyment at the peak, you can ride down through the sand carpet to get into the next activity there which is as amusing as seeing the sunrise at Bromo Peak, seeing the sulphur crater. There are two options to get there, walking or renting a horse-riding. If you do not want to get fatigued quickly, you can choose the second option. Renting a horse-riding there can cost around IDR 150.000 per person, including go-and-back ride and an owner that will guide you into the destination―which is in front of stairs to the crater peak.

Arriving at the destination, you have to climb up the stairs–250 steps in total. And because they are slightly steep, you are suggested to walk slowly. After you reach at the peak, you will be greeted with a vast view of sulphur’s crater, a view of Mount Batok that looks like a layered cake, a view of horses’ park-field, and a view of Luhur Poten Temple from afar. For your information that this temple is a worship center for Tengger tribes whose majors are Hindu and live around Mount Bromo.

Enjoying the Bromo’s Savannah

After being pleased with a view of Bromo Crater, you can continue your journey into the southern area of Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park, where in this area you will be welcomed with a wide and lush green grass carpet. Also, you will find a lot of hills that look like the Teletubbies’s–a child television series–ones if you looked from above, so it is not surprising that the locals called those Bukit Teletubbies. This magnificent and greenish view must you capture in photos/videos.

The Grand Bromo’s Desert

After having fun at the savannah, you can continue your journey into the last area in Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park called Pasir Berbisik. For your information that Pasir Berbisik was already used as a filming location six years ago with the same title. Though this area is just a vast desert, you can make your captures as creative as you can. For examples, taking a picture with a jeep that you have rented or imitating Syahrini an Indonesian female singer–walking ‘beautifully’ in the midst of desert and flip your scarf at the same time.

One of a destination bucket list if you are travelling around Indonesia. If you want to go to this national park, I recommend you to hire a local tour service. When you use a tour service, in addition of getting affordable prices, entrance tickets, renting a hardtop jeep, and accommodating a fully-experienced tour guide are included here. For your information that an entrance ticket into this national park can reach IDR 30.000 per person (for local tourist) and IDR 300.000 per person (for overseas tourist). Also, renting a hardtop jeep by yourself is far more expensive, because it can reach around IDR 600.000-IDR 900.000.

So, those are the excitements of travelling to Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park. From the scenery, the excitements during journey, also the feelings when against the cold, all of these are worth trying. Honestly, we were not disappointed and wanted to go back here. 🙂

Thank you for your patiences and enjoy your holiday~

ps. btw I’m writting a new article about my holiday last Christmas and I hope I can post it here on time

Theatrical Release Poster; cr: IMDb

Aplenty of skyscraper buildings. Neon lights are everywhere, embellishing the buildings and the streets. Some buildings are running the high-definition hologram advertisements. The population of robots have the same appearance as the population of real humans, even the total of the real ones are actually outnumbered by the total of robots. And the cutest part is when a group of geisha robots suddenly turn into geisha-like spider robots. Those are the visualizations I got from a movie which is directed by Rupert Sanders (known for directing Snow White and the Huntsman) and had the anime version since 1995, which is directed by Mamoru Oshī.

With the time setting of Japan’s advanced technology era–located in Hong Kong–Mira Killian (Scarlett Johansson) must accept the situation after the boat which she rode with her parent was destroyed by the terrorists and caused a big damage to her body (except her brain), also her parent’s death. And by the world’s leading developer of augmentative technology Hanka Robotics, Mira’s body is submitted to Dr. Ouelet (Juliette Binoche) to create a new mechanical body called ‘shell’. This body is a Hanka Robotics’ secret project and can be worked if the body is connected to the human brain. And such an unexpected event that Mira is the only one of her kind who successes this secret project. Why? It is believed that Mira still has the ‘ghost’ in herself or in other word, it is a human soul.

‘Major’ Mira Killian (Scarlett Johansson), cr: IMDb

A year later, Mira has attained a new rank ‘Major’ and placed in Section 9, a group who is led by Daisuke Aramaki (‘Beat’ Takeshi Kitano). One night, Section 9 gets a mission to thwart a terrorists attack on a Hanka Robotics business conference in a hotel. But when Mira destroys the geisha robots–which have turned into geisha-like spider robots for some reasons–one of them leaves an odd voice message.

“Collaborate with Hanka Robotics and be destroyed.”

A big question appears in Section 9 about where does the voice message come from and what is the meaning of it. But, it can be solved quickly after one member named Togusa (Chin Han) finds out who is the culprit with his augmentative technology, and he is a hacker named Kuze (Michael Carmen Pitt). And by Aramaki, Mira with her very close partner Batou (Pilou Asbæk) go to the Hanka Robotics and visit Dr. Dahlin (Anamaria Marinca) about her findings from a hacked geisha robot. After knowing that the findings are not as much as expected, Mira braves herself to do the ‘Deep Dive’ into a hacked geisha robot for finding out an answer about Kuze’s whereabouts–even in the end she is also hacked by Kuze.

(l-r): Kuze (Michael Carmen Pitt) & ‘Major’ Mira Killian (Scarlett Johansson), cr: IMDb

On her effort in finding Kuze’s whereabouts, Mira always gets haunted by her past or in her word is ‘glitches’, yet she tries to ignore it. And while the story is ongoing, Kuze tells the truths when the both of them meet and makes Mira remembering clearly about her past. This takes her to the death of the scientist team in Hanka Robotics (including Doctor Ouelet who is revealing the real truth of Mira’s past), also her little reunion with her mother and his brother Hideo (whom surprisingly is Kuze himself).

I must say that I’m not a big fan of old animes, but this movie–adapted from a manga by Masamune Shirō–catches my attention. Why? Because this movie will take the audiences into the Japan’s future atmosphere, both in terms of city and lifestyle. The other reason is I really love anime, so if the Hollywood movie teams want to make a live-action movie from a/an manga/anime adaptation, they must make it very well and touching otherwise fans from around the world will not respect it. I like the story personally, but sadly I don’t really like with the character development from each characters.

I’m expecting Mira to be a strong and emotional character–as depicted in the story–but it turns out 180 degrees. She is so expressionless–and the way she does ‘it’ is clearly forced (maybe this is how they depicting Mira). Not to mention, Mira’s action scenes in this movie are in counts than Mira’s chit-chatting scenes with Section 9 members (especially with her close-partner Batou). Whereas in Marvel movies, there are countless of Black Widow’s action scenes than chit-chatting scenes with her teammates–that does not go for The Avengers: Age of Ultron, more chit-chatting scenes there and it makes me queasy.

Below Mira are the auxiliary characters that for me are not very important and/or leave us some imposed impressions. The first one is Mira’s close-partner, Batou. Though he is depicted as caring person towards Mira (and his fellow Section 9 members), he’s just the same as Mira, expressionless and clearly forced in some scenes. One of them is when he expresses his longing towards Mira (with mind-com) while on their mission in a yakuza pub to search Kuze’s whereabouts.

(l-r): Daisuke Aramaki (‘Beat’ Takeshi Kitano) & Cutter (Peter Ferdinando), cr: IMDb

Then, there is this Section 9 leader named Aramaki–the only character who uses the real Japanese actor. At first, there is nothing wrong with him until he successfully creates an ambiguous. He is the only Japanese speaker in the movie while the others speak English–especially the figures from Japan (and one of them is Kaori Momoi who plays Mira’s mother). With such a positive thinking, I started to think that in that time, translator devices have been highly developed from I expected, so the Non-Japanese people will unnecessary speak Japanese. Since in this movie the most casts are from Hollywood, so yeah…

Last is Kuze who appears to be the most tiresome character in the movie. Aside from his way of toneless speaking, he doesn’t have a soul (including emotion) like a robot–and that truly makes me sleepy. That goes the same when he is told to express as if imposed and it makes me want to puke.

In addition of liking the story, I also like the visualizations. Though the movie takes place in Hong Kong, I like how the team depicts the atmosphere of the future in Japan. The city which is very identical for the skyscraper buildings, coupled with a thousand of lights, making it very future-like. But the most interesting thing from this movie is the high-definition hologram advertisements–and they run them without projector screens. I don’t know why I like these, but I’m expecting these to happen in the next ten years. Hihi…

Overall, the movie is quite good. But because of the not-so strong enough at the character development from each characters, the movie quality should decrease. Oh and by the way, it feels awkward for me if the Asian fiction characters are played by Hollywood actors/actress. Why? To me personally, it is very difficult to fathom into these characters. They are so unpredictable and (sometimes) full of emotions. That is why all Asian actors/actress are really appreciating their own character and trying to play it well. No offense because that is my opinion.

Ps: I know it’s pretty late… but that’s okay (also forgive my grammars)

Getaway on Australia’s Heaven

Seagulls in Moreton Bay

It’s so fun for having a getaway on somewhere. Feels like it’s my own ‘heaven’.

Is what I felt when I was having a holiday on an island which is located more or less than 30 kilometres from Brisbane’s port by ferry ship. They say that in this island, you can try a lot of activities here, like sand tobogganing (it is basically a sand-sliding), ATV riding, dolphin feeding, and more. They also say that this island has the best beach in Australia (am I right?).

All of these can be found at Tangalooma Island Resort–or formerly known as Tangalooma Wild Dolphin Resort. Located near the coast of Moreton Island, Queensland, Australia, it has about 300 rooms–as a variety of hotel units, villas, and apartments. And because the resort offers various activities–and an alluring view from the room’s window–it has successfully made guests endure themselves there. Not only that, the resort also sells a lot of authentic souvenirs with affordable prices (though for me they’re not really affordable enough), and opens restaurants/cafés who are ready to serve their bellies.

Like I mentioned before, Tangalooma Island Resort offers a various activities that can guests try. There are land based activities and water based activities. For land based activities, the resort offers Helicopter Scenic Flights, 4WD Car Hire, ATV Quad Bike Tour, Desert Safari Tour (with Sand Tobogganing), etc.. As for water based activities, the resort offers Parasailing, Snorkel the Tangalooma Wrecks, Scuba Diving, Whale Watching Tour, Dolphin Feeding Experience, etc..

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

And on one-night holiday in Tangalooma Island Resort, I got a chance to experience sand tobogganing and dolphin feeding.

Desert Safari Tour (with Sand Tobogganing)

This is the first activity I experienced in Tangalooma Island Resort and this happened after having lunch with my tour-group members. To get to the desert, you need a certain vehicle called 4WD (4-wheel drive) and it’s already designed for off-roads (e.g. deserts and swamps). So, the resort staff straightly took us to the 4WD vehicle’s park and had a ride with it. While on the ride, the driver will share you everything about the environment around Tangalooma Island Resort–and Moreton Island (though Tangalooma is the most topic he’s talking about). Oh, the driver will also remind you to fasten the seat belt, because it’ll be a bumpy ride, and remind you to keep your hands/head out of windows, otherwise you’ll get hit by the tree branches.

The ride took about 30 minutes long and we finally arrived at the desert. The desert is so wide, yet so alluring. So, it is very recommended for all instagrammers around the world–since the desert is so wide with the blue sky as the background. And it’s not just a wide desert, there’s also a giant pile of sand which is always used for sand tobogganing.

Seriously, I couldn’t wait to do this activity! But first, time for the activity briefing by the professional coach. First, he will ask you if you already take your sand board. Then, he will teach you about how to climb the sand pile. “Please step on a track which already has footprints, do not step on a clean track!” is what he said to my group. Last, he will tell you how to enjoy this activity.

“Make sure that your sand board has a smiley face (😊)–which is a spot for placing your face. Then, place your chest parallel to the board, so the board won’t be wobbly. Afterwards, place your arms in position with the face while holding the sides of the board tightly.”

After that, you can climb the sand pile. And to be honest, the climbing thing is very tiring, because the slope reaches around 80 degrees (yeah, I know I’m exaggerating right now). I also suffer the acrophobia (afraid of heights) to be honest, so whenever I reach the high places I’ll be scared (but my acrophobia is not as bad as you/people think). I finally felt relieved after I reached the top, which is the start point of sand tobogganing. When my turn came, I tried to make myself calmer and listen to the coach’s last briefing (again). After that, the coach pushed my sand board and slid down–while the professional photographer took a picture of me.

Here’s me doing the sand tobogganing 🙂

And my final result, AMAZING!!! I would like to do it again, but can I skip the climbing one? (exaggerating spotted again, lol) Oh, and by the way, you can buy your photo of you’re doing the sand toboganning at the Tangalooma Photo Shop.

Dolphin Feeding Experience

This is the second activity which is held at 6 PM, and guests can join the fun by participating (for those who don’t want to can watch from the bench). After getting some rest, I straightly went to the beach and waited for 6 PM coming, with a super-duper cold air–since it’s winter in Australia.

Where the dolphin feeding takes place (cr:

By the time reached 6 PM, a small group of wild dolphins started coming to the coastline. Yeah, you’re right–wild dolphins. Because they are wild dolphins, there are some procedures that you must follow. Why? Because one little mistake can end the activity on that day. Believe me.

So, before you start feeding the wild dolphin, wash your hand first with a clean water in a bucket. After that, you start picking its food–which is a small fish–from the other bucket and  hold its lower body part tightly, so the dolphin can easily eat it. Then, you must walk slowly to the water, so the dolphin won’t get away. And, give the fish slowly to the dolphin’s mouth. It seems easy, but like I mentioned before, one little mistake can end the activity.

I got nervous when I was about to start. But, with the staff’s help, I could do this activity smoothly. The dolphin liked me, I was so happy. And when I fed the wild dolphin named Rani (who is surprisingly a male dolphin and the leader of the group they say), a professional photographer took my picture. And like the sand tobogganing, you can buy your photo of you’re doing the dolphin feeding at the Tangalooma Photo Shop.

Here’s me and my family doing the dolphin feeding 🙂

Overall, I enjoyed these two activities in Tangalooma Island Resort. It is true that this resort is a ‘heaven’, and I would like to stay there for a long time (my wallet’s ‘crying’ right now). I think that’s it and thank you for reading this–eventhough I have grammar and vocabulary problems.

The Best DC Movies! | Wonder Woman (2017) (SPOILER ALERT!!!)

Official Movie Poster; cr: IMDb

Full Team! (l-r: Saїd Taghmaoui, Chris Pine, Gal Gadot, Eugene Brave Rock, Ewen Bremner); cr: IMDb

Long time ago, ladies’ roles were underestimated by the global. They assumed that ladies should be at home, doing their duties as a housewife. But for Diana Prince, it’s different. Since she was a little, she had always dreamt to save the world, but she never knew that there will be a lot of threats that will take her life someday.

That’s what she always thinks. A girl who was born in Themyscira Island, home of the Amazons. All of these happen from a tale which is told by her mother–Queen Hippolyta–about how was the Amazons created by Zeus after his son Ares, God of War, destroyed humanities with evil zests. If this still continues, then there will be an infinity war. Because of this, Zeus decided to kill Ares and created a weapon that can kill Ares (when he returns one day). That weapon is called The Godkiller–and apparently it’s a sword.

Little Diana (Lilly Aspell) & her mum (Connie Nielsen); cr: IMDb

With age, Themyscira Island suddenly has a human guest named Steve Trevor, an American spy who is assigned to seek some information about what are the German’s armies doing in Turkey. He arrives with a (stolen) plane which has been shot and fallen into the sea together. Because of this, Diana intends to help him by carrying him into the coastline. But, who knows that his presence makes the Amazons asking his reasons, so they entwine him with Lasso of Trust (a magic rope that can make someone says the truths) onto him.

The reason that Steve tells to the Amazons is the same as the tale that her mother told to Diana–and she believes that this doing is Ares’–so she decides to go to the human world with Steve to stop the mess (and bring The Godkiller).

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

In the human world, Diana will meet some new stuffs that she had never known before, like putting on a (ethical) outfit, trying new food (like ice cream), slow dance, etc.. Not only that, in human world, Diana starts to reveal the real identity of Ares–which is a speaker of peace on the Imperial War Cabinet named Sir Patrick Morgan–and her true self.

After DC Comics fans waiting for +70 years long, this summer Wonder Woman is officially aired in whole world cinemas. Directed by Patty Jenkins, the movie is adapted from a comic by William Moulton Marston with the same title. And for those who have already read the comic, there are big differences between the movie and the comic for sure, for example Diana’s outfit when she is in London.

Talking about which era, the movie’s takes place when the World War I (between Axis Powers and Allied Powers) finally comes to an end. With the World War I as the time setting, Jenkins wanted to show the audiences how are the situations back then. Starting from the situation at the front line war, and the people’s conditions there. Jenkins also added a little of Old Greek myths in the movie.

The question is, how will DC elevate Wonder Woman’s movie quality while the last DC Movie, Suicide Squad, can be said as a failure?

Diana Prince is just a girl full of curiosity and ambitions. Her curiousness is the entertainment material for the audiences. How come that Diana herself is a descent of the Greek God, and she enters the human world. She must adapt there for sure, but how she’s doing it is such entertaining. One of the scenes that successfully made me laugh is when Steve tries looking for a new outfit for Diana because her outfit that she wears is a little bit naked until she must cover herself with a long black coat. For your information, while Diana trying her new outfit, she assumes that those are battle outfits (and as you guys can see that those are tore widely).

While her ambition is already seen from the beginning of the story. Her wish to join the martial art training with the other well-trained Amazons has already made after she often sees their training. Because of that, her mother’s sister Antiope intends to train Diana quietly–until her mother finds out. Other than that, her wish to stop Ares’s doing–which Diana believes that he’s already came back–makes her going to the human world until her mother overwhelmed to stop her.

And, the appearance of an American spy Steve Trevor changes Diana’s life. His patience combines Diana’s curiosity. For example, when he wants to prove Diana that he really tells her the truth by using Diana’s Lasso of Truth. Aside from his patience, Steve is a (very) careful person. He doesn’t want Diana to run away while running on the mission. But behind that, he actually doesn’t want her to be hurt on the mission.

And as the story goes, the chemistry between these two characters keeps growing until they decide to continue it to the next level. Because of this, fans started to ship (fandom’s language) them. It is so romantic that when the story reaches to an end, they finally separate at the take-off field and Steve gives Diana his dad’s watch as a sign that he really loves her.

The end story of Wonder Woman is such a plot twist! At first, Diana thought that Ares was the general of war from Germany Erich Ludendorff. But, it was totally wrong and the real Ares is Sir Patrick Morgan. Also, there’s a gaffe near the end of the story, which is where Patrick’s (Ares) statement to Diana about the formation of a new and better world after the humanities are destroyed by themselves. So confusing, don’t you think?

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Overall, the movie is beyond my expectations. I always state that the DC Movies are way worse than the Marvel Movies, yet somehow Wonder Woman deserves five thumbs up. I even got touched while watching a scene where Diana uses her shield to protect herself from the Axis Powers’ rain bullets.

Gru has a Twin Brother?! │ Despicable Me 3 (2017)

Official Movie Poster (recently)

How does it feel when you’re told by someone (who appears to be a non-relationship with you) that you actually has a twin brother/twin sister? After Gru is being told by someone (let’s say that he is Gru’s neighbour) that he actually has a twin brother, he surprises and says that he wants to see him. After he gets some information about where is his twin-brother’s living, Gru and his family travels to his place (by a jet).

His long-lost charming, cheerful, and more successful twin brother named Dru. Originally, after their parent gave births to Gru and Dru, their parent suddenly went divorced and both of them finally got separated. Unlike Gru who always grouchy, Dru is energetic and friendly. And as Dru’s villain spirit is still running in his veins, Dru wants to ask Gru to come back being villain again yet Gru hesitates. So, Dru shows something that Gru has never seen before in his life–and that ‘thing’ affects him to become a villain again.

Right before his meeting with Dru, a villain named Balthazar Bratt–a former child star who has grown up to become obsessed with the character that he played in the ‘80s–steals a big diamond from the secret room in a cruise ship and makes the Anti Villain League shocked. The headquarters asked for Gru and his wife Lucy to stop Balthazar. But unfortunately, the mission fails and the two of them are forcely fired and they have to run their tough life.

“Let’s party!!!”

Will his twin brother Dru finally leave his villain side to help Gru? Will Gru, Lucy, and Dru finally cease Balthazar Bratt? Will Gru and Lucy finally get the job back?

After the biggest animated hits of Despicable Me’s franchises–with a spin-off Minions (2015)–brought to you by Illumination Entertainment and Universal Pictures, Despicable Me 3 will be continuing the adventure of Gru, his wife Lucy, their adorable adoptive daughters (Margo, Edith, and Agnes), and the Minions. Directed by Pierre Coffin (whose popular by directing all of the Despicable Me’s franchises) and Kyle Balda, and written by Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio, the movie will be first premiered on June 14, 2017 at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival and released on June 30, 2017 in the US.

The movie itself will be joining three main casts, Steve Carell as Gru/Dru, Kristen Wiig as Gru’s wife Lucy, and Trey Parker as the villain Balthazar Bratt. The movie will be also joining Miranda Cosgrove as Margo, Dana Gaier as Edith, Nev Scharell as Agnes, and many more. BONUS! One of the movie director, Pierre Coffin, will still voicing as the Minions.

Talking about the Minions in Despicable Me 3, (according to the last trailer that I had posted below) they will start to act like a gangster. Colour-matching clothing (which is black and white stripes) and a tattoo per each Minions on one of their body part, like hand, neck, and butt. Yes, butt–and I wish that butt tattoo won’t exist in the movie! And don’t forget with their funny and adorable acts because those signature acts will surely make the audiences laugh out loud.

Aside from funny, the movie will be also enclosed with some heart-warming scenes that will obviously make the audiences feel touched–just like Gru who feels touched after Agnes says that she wants to help him by selling things to the neighbourhood after losing his job. Very recommended to watch with your family/friends. And, while waiting for the release date, how about we check on these three trailers first.
